STOP THE INTERNET CENSORSHIP

It was only recently announced that the government had just successfully completed a trial run, of their web censoring software.

They now plan to go ahead with the next step, which will be to pass legislation early this year making the web filters law. However, with the impending election, should the legislation pass, the government will delay it's enactment until 12 months later. This way it will have little impact on impending elections, and ensure Labour is re-elected.

Many sites, such as this one, are likely to be BANNED!   "ACON is supporting GetUp!'s Save The Net campaign because we're concerned that the Federal Government's [internet filtering] will severely limit the effectiveness of our internet-based HIV-prevention and education campaigns, by restricting access to culturally appropriate information," ACON President Mark Orr told SX. (read this full article on the GLBT Politics and News page on this site)
